The best gadget for your 3D Printer!
This filament runout detector / buzzer can used with any printer which uses 1.75mm filament. I am old 3d printer user and designed very carefully having in my mind every needed detail and every problem that could be happen.No need electronics knowledge to use it. It is very simple.
To operate device, first you need put a 12V, 23A battery (like one for car alarms).
You insert the filament in the hole (on the way of the arrow) and after that to the filament feeder of your 3D printer. Do not forget to open the switch.
There is a switch, in which you must change position to the right to be ON. Switch is protected in a case that device fell down. To the other side there is a hole, which you can use it to tie the device on the printer (not very close to the feeder, to have more time after alarm). Also, you can use a double side tape, to put it on the 3D printer.
At the top, there is a plastic protrude, to avoid in a case device fall upside down mute the buzzer and not hear it from long distance.
When filament runout, you will hear a very loud beep. After that, close the switch on the detector, pause printing, move up the head, remove the remaining filament and repeat the above procedure to put the new. Press to continue printing.
I
suggest you, first time make a test to confirm in which distance you
hear it. If after long time of use you do not hear it well, change the
battery.

Notice:
Device builded with 3D printer using ABS filament. Good quality but not
perfect like molded plastic. Please see gallery photos at the top for more
detailed view. Device color is random. Battery is alkaline, not necessary the same brand or model as in photos, but same type.
