This equivalent to Kenwood PG-5G cable, works with TM-D710, TM-D710A, TM-D710E, TM-V71, TM-V71A, TM-V71E, RC-D710 which use mini din 8 input/output serial-RS232 communication port.
You can use it to control or programming your transceiver or to use it with PG-5A, PG-5H Audio Data Cable for Echolink-IRLP operation. Audio Data Cable NOT included. If you do not have one, you can purchase it HERE.HOW TO:
- Connect programming cable to a free RS232 pc/laptop port
- Plug 8 pin mini-din to Kenwood serial port
- If you not have a serial port, use a USB to serial converter
- Download the suitable software for your radio

Cable assembled and tested. Cable Length is ~1.5m (59 inches). Check your radio manual to confirm that is compatible.
